Delete your account

In the app: open Profile → Account → Delete account and confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

Can’t open the app? Email valentynapolienova@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll delete it within 30 days.

What this deletes

• your profile, name and email address, and your ability to sign in;
• your study progress — liked and saved kanji, review schedules and drawing practice;
• your quiz and study history — answers, sessions, streaks, records and statistics;
• your word packs, including ones you bought or earned, and any vocabulary you added;
• your Koi balance and our record of the Koi you bought;
• your story progress, notification device registrations, and any bug reports you sent us.

What is kept, and for how long

• Store purchase records. Apple and Google keep their own record of anything you bought, under their rules. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in the App Store or Google Play account you bought it with.
• AI feature usage. Records of what our AI features cost to run are kept for billing and abuse prevention with your account identifier removed, and are deleted automatically within 90 days.
• Crash reports. Diagnostics collected by Firebase Crashlytics are not tied to your profile and are deleted automatically within 90 days.
• Backups. Residual copies may remain in routine backups until they are overwritten in the ordinary backup cycle.

Deleting the app does not delete your account. Nothing we keep after deletion is used to recreate it. See section 7 of our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Delete only some of your data

You don’t have to close your account to have something removed. Email valentynapolienova@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data” and tell us what to remove — for example a word pack, the text or photo you sent us to generate vocabulary from, your quiz history, or a bug report. You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you at the same address.

Write from the address you signed in with so we can find your account. We’ll confirm within 30 days, and your account stays open.
